Meet B.
A few months back, I received a text from a former classmate/client asking if I would be okay with her nephew writing me a letter for an extra credit project he was working on in school. The task was to write a professional in a field you were interested in and ask them some questions about their career. While it is always hard to consider myself a professional, I was so excited that a senior boy was interested in photography - and that I came to mind!
A few weeks later, I received a letter in the mail from B, asking some basic questions about the job, my motivations, etc. It was actually a good reminder for me in a lot of ways - to get off the wheel and refocus on why I do this, what I think I do well and what I can improve on. I wrote back a few pages, rambling on like I am always so good at.
Time passes by and I honestly didn't think much about it in the following months. You know - two toddlers, a full time job, a part time job, and a husband who works 24s. Well, one day I got a Facebook message to my photography page asking for information on Senior shoots. Quickly into the conversation, I was informed that this was B's mother! What an exciting opportunity!
So, a few weeks later I met B, his mom and little brother - oh, and his doggo! We hung out there for a while, took some pictures, and then headed over to the lake to take some photos at sunset (which turned out to be a very windy experience - is that global warming?) It was so cool to me to have this full circle experience. Check out some of our shots!
