L is for the way...
Okay, best date idea - a couple photoshoot! Joanie contacted me for a photoshoot earlier this year. She told me that they have raised their five children (all but one having moved out of their home) and have been married for twenty years. They've had photos done with their children growing up over the years, but did not have many of just the two of them. She wanted to celebrate their love and capture this chapter of their love story and I think it was the best idea.
As a parent and a wife, I can tell you that I have maybe a total of a handful of photos from the last five years with my friends or husband. My camera roll is exploding with photos of my two kids and the occasional photo of me and my children I force my husband to take. It is so easy to get lost in parenthood that time with your spouse becomes secondary at best.
So, do a Joanie & Eric. Get dressed up and spend an hour kissing and smiling at each other. (Also, a special moment for Joanie's top because it. is. perfect). Go to dinner after. Take some you time to fall back in love with each other in a new way - oh, and have me there to document it (wink emoji).
