why ten seventeen?

so, what's with the name? october 17th is the day my oldest son, jett, graced us in this life. being a first time mom, i found myself constantly and unapologetically consumed with trying to freeze special moments in time. after all, each time you blink, they are doing something new. i chose to name my business ten seventeen photography because it is the single most important day of my life - the day i became a mother. my dream is not only to capture those "once in a lifetime" moments in our lives - but also the special moments in yours!
